Legendary Gospel artiste Munishi Clashes With Pastor Kavita, Boni Mwaitege Over Unpaid Dues

– He said that the man of God had paid Mwaitege in full for a performance at his church but failed to attend due to personal reasons
Tanzanian singer Faustin Munishi has taken to social media requesting a meeting with fellow singer Boni Mwaitege and Kenya’s Pastor Kavita of AIC Athi River.
In a lengthy post on his Facebook page on Thursday, April 21, Munishi explained the source of their online drama.
According to the Malebo hitmaker, it all began after Boni Mwaitege who also doubles up as a pastor at Dar es Salaam failed to show up at an event he had been invited by Kavita.
In his post, Munishi said that the man of God had paid Mwaitege in full for a performance at his church but failed to attend due to personal reasons.
“Mkutano Mkuu wa kumaliza vita kati ya waimbaji na wachungaji.Naomba kukutana na Rev Kavita wa Kanisa la AIC Athiriver Nairobi Kenya na Mwimbaji Ambaye pia ni Mchungaji Bon Mwaitege wa kanisa pale Dar Tanzania.Sababu ya mkutano ni kuhusu Mwaliko ambao Mwaitege alialikwa kwenye kanisa la Mchungaji Kavita na hakufika kwa sababu zake lakini pesa alilipwa zote kama walivyokubaliana na Rev Kavita kwa maelezo yake,” wrote the musician.
Munishi Demands Unpaid Dues
After Mwaitege failed to show up, Kavita reached out to Munishi and promised to give him a down payment after the performance.
Things went south after Munishi showed up for the performance instead of the promised Mwaitege.
Seeing the disappointment on the congregants faces, Munishi took the moment to explain to the crowd that he was there through an invitation from pastor Kavita.
His announcement did no seat well with the host pastor as he failed to give him his performance fee at the end of the show.
“Nilipoona alama ya mshangao kwenye nyuso za umati uliohudhuria mkutano, nilisema jamani Mimi nimekuja kwa mwaliko wa Rev Kavita japo sikuwa kwenye posters na mabango ya kutangaza mkutano ila mliyemtarajia hakufika na mimi Niko tuendelee na Mkutano.Tangazo hilo halikumfurahisha mwenyeji wangu Rev John Kavita hivyo hakutimiza ahadi yake kwangu kwa sababu hiyo,” added the Malebo hitmaker.
The Tanzanian singer is therefore seeking for a seat down with Kavita and Mwaitege to deliberate on a way forward.
According to his post, the top agenda is for Mwaitege to reimburse the money he was paid but did not perform.
Secondly, he wants the man of God to pay him his dues given that he honoured an impromptu invitation and delivered.
