Akisa Wandera to join BBC
Akisa who is headed to BBC thanked the station and the viewers who supported her during the six years at KTN.
“It marks the last bulletin I present here on KTN News. The time has come for me to move on to a new assignment. Tonight I bid you goodbye with a grateful heart. It has been an immense pleasure and great honour that you trusted me on informing you all these years. Thank you for constantly tuning in and for your support,” said Wandera.

Following her announcement, her colleague Mary Kilobi took to social media to wish Akisa well.
Kilobi said she was genuinely happy for Wandera’s achievement.
“Akisa My Love. Today being your last day at KTN, Mixed feelings are littered everywhere. Much as we are genuinely happy for your new challenge we will definitely MISS the Sunshine that you bring to us. You were the life of 2nd floor. . Always know that I am just a text away. Lots Love Mukhana❤,” wrote Kilobi.
